Movement challenge week one results are in
Submitted by Human Capital Services
Week one of the 2018 Movement Challenge ended Aug. 25 and the week one results are in!
If you didn't participate in week one, it is not too late to join your departmental team and focus on your physical well-being. The Movement Challenge offers two ways for departments to compete. At the end of the challenge, the Movement Challenge team will name one department the winner of highest activity and one department the winner of highest participation.
Each week includes an additional challenge for participants. Week one was to set an intention for the challenge and to work toward that goal. Two winners were selected at random for a wellness prize. Christy Hanthorn won a Fitbit for participating in the challenge and Monica Curnutt won a one-month membership to Recreational Services for her participation on social media.
The week one leaders:
Department activity:
- Aerospace Studies
- College of Veterinary Medicine
- K-State Olathe
Department participation:
- K-State Olathe
- Lafene Student Health Center
- Human Capital Services
Individual activity:
- Beverly Price
- Mary McHugh
- Mary Partiridge
Congratulations to the week one leaders! See more information about the Movement Challenge on the Live Your Best website.
Participants who participate all five weeks will be awarded four HealthQuest credits and corresponding HSA/HRA contributions at the end of the challenge. Random drawings for wellness-related prizes also will take place for participants and those that engage through social media using the hashtag #PurpleIsProgress.
