Movies on the Grass film: 'Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman' Sept. 9

Movies on the Grass will show the film "Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman" at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, in Town Hall of the Leadership Studies Building.

According to the new documentary's website, "Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman" tells the inspiring story of heartland conservation heroes who are feeding the world while stewarding the land and water. The film will be introduced by Justin Knopf, a Salina area sustainable farmer and K-State agronomy graduate who is featured in this documentary. 

Movies on the Grass offers the campus and community new films that portray current issues in an informal setting. This is a free film series and in its 14th year. The films are usually screened outside Hale Library but have been temporarily moved because of the Hale Library fire. All films begin at 8 p.m.

Additional 2018 Movies on the Grass films include: 
Sunday, Sept. 16: "Straws" at Sunset Zoo.
Sunday, Sept 23: "Step" with a dance performance starting at 7 p.m. and film at 8 p.m. in Town Hall of the Leadership Studies Building.

The series also co-sponsors the UPC free screening of "Charlie vs. Goliath" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Wildcat Chamber in the K-State Student Union.
