K-State Police chief to speak at 9/11 Freedom Rally

K-State Police Department Chief Ronnie Grice will be a guest speaker at the 9/11 Freedom Rally at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Bishop Stadium, 3308 Robinson Drive at Cico Park. The event honors and respects those who serve and protect and celebrates America's strength and resilience in the wake of Sept. 11, 2001.
Come and remember those who fell on that tragic day and consider the needs of those who risk their lives daily in the service of our communities.
The event also will include a candlelight vigil and musical performances by the Flint Hills Children's Choir, Betti O, the Manhattan High School Marching Band, and more.
Additional guest speakers include Chief of Staff Col. Curtis Taylor, Chief of Staff Col. Roger Murdock, Attorney General Derek Schmidt, Lt. Gov. Tracey Mann, Riley County Police Department Director Brad Schoen, Geary County Sheriff's Office Captain Brian Hornaday, Riley County Fire Department Director Pat Collins, Riley County EMS Director David Adams, Manhattan Fire Department Director Scott French, Junction City Fire Department Chief Terry Johnson.
A clear bag policy will be enforced.
