Electrical and computer engineering hosts seminar speaker Nicholas Caporusso
The electrical and computer engineering department will host seminar speaker Nicholas Caporusso, assistant professor of informatics at Forts Hays State University, at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in the ICE Conference Room, 1139 Engineering Hall.
Caporusso will present "A research and entrepreneurial journey in Pervasive Human-Computer Interaction."
Caporusso got his bachelor's and master's in informatics, both cum laude, from the University of Bari, Italy, and obtained a doctorate in computer science and engineering from IMT-Institute for Advanced Studies, Lucca, Italy. Both his master's and doctoral theses were awarded by the Italian Association for Automatic Calculus as the best technology theses, in 2008 and 2012, respectively.
Currently, Caporusso works as an assistant professor of informatics at Fort Hays State University where he teaches interactive systems, machine learning and artificial intelligence, web and app development, and research methods.
