Communicating science through 'The Infection Files' and other tales from medical journalism

Join the Communicators' Brown Bag and the Kansas Science Communication Initiative for a conversation with Dr. Claire Panosian, UCLA School of Medicine professor emeritus of medicine-infectious diseases.
"Communicating science through 'The Infection Files' and other tales from medical journalism" will take place at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the BRI Lecture Hall, Room 1004.
Panosian has had her own TV program and has written a popular newspaper column on infectious disease. She will share her expertise on communicating medical science to the public and telling compelling stories.
Please register and bring a photo ID to check in with security at the BRI for the event.
Panosian also will present a BRI Research Fellows Lecture titled “L.A. Tropical Doc — Parasite Tales from a Temperate City" at 3:30 p.m. in the BRI Lecture Hall.
