Nominations open for 2018 Student Organization Awards
The Center for Student Involvement is sponsoring awards recognizing advisors, students and organizations for their work over the past year. These recognition awards will be announced during Blue Key's Leadership Appreciation Reception. Each award recipient will be recognized and receive a plaque.
To make a nomination for any of these awards, please complete the online nomination form(s). These forms will automatically close at midnight on Thursday, Nov. 1. The nomination forms will be reviewed by the awards committee.
The Advisor of the Year Award honors an individual who has made a commitment to a student organization and its goals by challenging, motivating and supporting students in the group. We would like to recognize these individuals who not only dedicate themselves to an organization and its students, but who go above and beyond their basic responsibilities to the organization. This award will be given to the advisor who has demonstrated these abilities. Advisor of the Year Award nomination form.
The Student Member of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has personally excelled within their student organization, continuously worked to contribute to and promote their organization throughout the year, and developed and supported other members in their organization. This award will be given to the student member who embodies these characteristics. Student Member of the Year Award nomination form.
The Student Organization Event of the Year honors a specific event that was not only planned, promoted and executed adequately, but also effectively met the organization's goals for the event providing specific and valuable takeaways that will impact students far beyond the event. This award will be given to the organization that hosted and organized the event. Student Organization Event of the Year nomination form.
The Outstanding Collaborative Event of the Year recognizes a specific event that was planned by two or more student organizations and/or community organizations and effectively met the organization's goals for the event providing specific and valuable takeaways that will impact students far beyond the event. This award will be given to the collaborating organizations that hosted and organized the event. Outstanding Collaborative Event of the Year nomination form.
The Cross-Cultural Event of the Year is honors a specific event that was planned, promoted and executed adequately, but also aided in the increased cultural competency and appreciation across campus, leaving a lasting impact for years to come.
