Multicultural Engineering Program selects inaugural 2018-2019 student advisory board
Ten students have been selected as members of the inaugural 2018-2019 Multicultural Engineering Student Advisory Board.
The Multicultural Engineering Program, directed by LaVerne Bitsie-Baldwin, has founded the Multicultural Engineering Student Advisory Board this semester to continue to encourage and motivate students and to reach out to young alumni and prospective students. Students on the advisory board are well-educated on the statistics of multicultural engineering students and strive to improve our numbers while being a point of contact and representative of the department.
The following students are members of the 2018-2019 Multicultural Engineering Student Advisory Board:
Austin Dortch, physics; Edgar Duarte, chemical engineering; Mohammad Al Abdullah, industrial engineering; Sydney Fletcher, electrical engineering; Marisol Munoz, construction science and management; Daniel Sul, mechanical engineering; Vania Espinoza, computer science; Jordan Peyton, biological and agricultural systems engineering; Ore Osunsanmi, chemical engineering; and Francisco Ramirez, civil engineering.
