K-State piano students among winners of state competition
Two K-State piano students have earned top awards at the recent Kansas Music Teachers Association state auditions, hosted Nov. 11 at the University of Kansas.
Helen Krehbiel, freshman in piano performance, Bern, won the first prize in the Freshman/Sophomore category, and Rinaldi Yonathan, a graduate student in piano performance from Bandung, Indonesia, received an honorable mention in the Graduate Category.
Both are students of K-State piano professor, Slawomir Dobrzanski, at the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
