McDiffett, director of benefits, graduates from TIAA's Emerging Leaders Network program

Human Capital Services' Amanda McDiffett, director of benefits, graduated from TIAA's Emerging Leaders Network program.
The Emerging Leaders Network provides leadership development opportunities through training and interaction with peers in several areas of human resources from institutions of higher education across the United States. It covers a broad range of topics, including understanding the world of higher education and human resources, deepening understanding of human resources technical topics and growing leadership skills.
McDiffett was selected from a field of more than 100 applicants for the program, and had the opportunity to build her network, deepen her human resources knowledge, and reflect upon and build her leadership skills. She earned her Society for Human Resources Management-Certified Professional certification from the Society for Human Resources Management, and professional in human resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute, demonstrating her commitment to the field and her own continued learning and development. McDiffett earned her Master of Arts in organizational leadership in 2018 at Baker University and Bachelor of Science in family studies and human services at Kansas State University.
TIAA, which stands for Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association, is one retirement plan provider for the Kansas Board of Regents. TIAA has shown commitment to higher education and the field of human resources by providing leadership development programs such as the Emerging Leaders Network, and annual learning and networking opportunities for higher education human resource leaders across the nation.
The Emerging Leaders Network program began in June 2017 and concluded in December 2018.
