Donations from K-Staters may help those affected by federal government shutdown

Submitted by K-State United Way Campaign Committee

Konza United Way, which is supported by donations from K-Staters, helps fund programs to support those in dire need.

Many United Way offices nationwide are receiving an increase in calls after federal workers did not get a paycheck due to the partial federal government shutdown.

The United Way holds a unique position in the community and can connect individuals to helpful resources. These resources range from assistance with health, transportation, clothing, disaster relief, or even paying certain bills.

Konza United Way supports 22 agencies and 31 programs in the region, making it easy for you to donate to an organization you are passionate about. Contributions may be a one-time donation or monthly through K-State HRIS payroll deduction.

For additional details, visit the Konza United Way website.
