SWIPE Out Hunger strikes again
Submitted by Jordan Hildebrand
The Alpha Zeta chapter at Kansas State Univrsity will host the annual SWIPE Out Hunger event on Oct. 28.
This year's goal is to package 100,000 meals for people in need in the Horn of Africa.
The event will be at the Kansas National Guard Armory, 721 Levee Drive, Manhattan. Shifts will start at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Registration begins today at ksuswipe.eventbrite.com.
Much needed donations can be submitted at www.numanainc.com/donate — select Kansas State University — or will be accepted at 117 Waters Hall.
Help end hunger by stopping your own. Drop by FarmHouse fraternity from 7-11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, for the Philanthrocakes event to help raise money for SWIPE. Or if you are a dessert person, Alpha Zeta will host SWIPE Out Hunger Nights at Purple Swirl from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 10 and from 5 p.m. to close Oct. 23 at Orange Leaf. Both events will help raise funds to buy SWIPE meals.
