Drama therapy program announces Universal Design for Learning workshop
The Kennedy Center Very Special Arts has made possible a free workshop on Universal Design for Learning at Kansas State University. This workshop will take place from 1-4:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, in Classroom 117 at West Memorial Stadium.
Francis Sillau and Sue Loesl will present the workshop. Sillau is the accessibility coordinator of the Omaha Theatre Company (The Rose) in Omaha and the artistic director of Circle Theatre, which is dedicated to creating theatre that includes artists with disabilities. Loesl is an adaptive art specialist in the Minneapolis area. Together they will present on how to teach through Universal Design for Learning, an accessible approach to education for all students.
This workshop will benefit any faculty or students going into education or who will be providing instruction to a variety of clients.
