Arts and Sciences hosts Lunch with the Dean featuring special guest Frank Meacham
The College of Arts and Sciences is adding a new twist to the April 3 Lunch with the Dean: a featured guest. Frank Meacham, financial advisor for Edward Jones investing and College of Arts and Sciences alumnus, will be in attendance to share career advice with students, hear about the students' experiences, and speak about his own experiences.
This special Lunch with the Dean will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in 301 Calvin Hall. This lunch will be open to any student enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, but seats are limited to 20.
To sign up for this lunch, put your name and eID on the online Google Pages sign-up sheet by 5 p.m. Friday, March 29. The first 20 students to sign up will be able to attend this event and will receive further information via email when sign-ups are complete.
Meacham is a member of the College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Advisory Council. He has served as a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Wichita since 2000. In his role as a financial advisor, he has received designation as an accredited asset management specialist through the College for Financial Planning. A lifelong native of Newton, Meacham graduated from Kansas State University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in corrective administration.
He currently sits on the board of directors as chairman of the Capital Campaign for Safehope — a domestic violence and sexual assault task force serving Harvey, Marion and McPherson counties — as well as the Board of the Church Council for Trinity Heights United Methodist Church. Meacham and his wife of 37 years, Sue, have one daughter and two granddaughters.
