Susan Sun receives Lifetime Achievement Award from BioEnvironmental Polymer Society
Xiuzhi "Susan" Sun, university distinguished professor of grain science and industry, has received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the BioEnvironmental Polymer Society.
This award is given to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to scientific advancement, has demonstrated outstanding ability, and has made phenomenal scholarly accomplishments with specific impact in the fields of biopolymers, biobased materials, bioplastics and materials related to bioenergy systems.
"We couldn't agree more that BioEnvironmental Polymer Society has identified the right person for this award, given Dr. Sun's proven and sustained track record as a pioneer in this important field," said Dirk Maier, professor and head of the department of grain science and industry.
