Vicki Grassian presents inaugural Kenneth J. Klabunde Memorial Lecture in chemistry
Professor Vicki Grassian will present the 2019 Kenneth J. Klabunde Memorial Lecture at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, in 4 King Hall. The title of her lecture is "Nanoparticles and the Environment: Chemistry, Applications and Impacts."
Grassian serves as a distinguished professor at the University of California, San Diego with appointments in the departments of chemistry and biochemistry, nanoengineering, and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She also holds the distinguished chair of physical chemistry.
Ken Klabunde was appointed professor and head of chemistry at Kansas State University and was named university distinguished professor in 1988. In 1995, he founded NanoScale Corporation as a spin-off of Kansas State University.
