Vernon Larson International Luncheon Lecture

Christopher Kuehl, an economic analyst for Fabricators and Manufacturers Association International, will present "It's the election — do you know where your economy is headed?" The lecture will start at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 19 in the Holiday Inn Ballroom at 17th Street and Anderson Avenue, Manhattan. An optional lunch is at 11:30 a.m. for $15 per person.

Fabricators and Manufacturers Association is a professional organization with more than 2,100 members working together to improve the metal forming and fabricating industry. One of Kuehl's major roles at the association is writing an economic e-newsletter titled "Fabrinomics," specifically designed to aid business decision-making by management and shop owners in the metal forming and fabricating industry. Kuehl also conducts workshops at major conferences and trade shows and occasional webinars as well as writing white papers and e-books for the association.
In addition, Kuehl also is the managing director of Armada Corporate Intelligence. It combines the traditions of corporate and competitive intelligence with strategic and tactical planning to provide clients with a clear view of the world they exist in and what they can do to advance their goals. Major clients include U.S. Engineering, Mid-America Capital, Spencer Fane Britt and Browne, Hallmark International.
He is editor and publisher of a daily e-publication, "Business Intelligence Brief." It deals with political and economic trends and how they affect business decisions and serves as the economist for the Credit Managers Association.
Kuehl is a senior faculty member for Keller Graduate School of Management. He has a doctorate in political economics, a master's in East Asian studies and a master's in Soviet and East European studies.
