Volunteers needed for Kids Voting booths
This is a volunteer opportunity sponsored by the Institute for Civic Discourse and Democracy at K-State. Students, faculty and staff can be involved in helping kids of all ages participate in an authentic voting experience.
Kids Voting’s main purpose is to excite and educate students about voting and its importance. Students in grades K-12 participate in an authentic voting experience by visiting polling booths set up in their school. They are able to place their ballot in the box and receive their “I Voted” sticker. Ballots are collected and counted across the district and results are then released nationally.
Volunteers are needed at each polling booth in the schools participating. Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 6, and different time slots for volunteers will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. We would appreciate your help in making Kids Voting possible again this year
