The Strategic Leader offered Oct. 29

The Strategic Leader will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the K-State Alumni Center Banquet Room C.
In this session, participants will gain a deeper understanding of their own leadership styles and have an introduction to the leadership styles of others through completing the StrengthsQuest Assessment. Participants will then explore strategies to increase engagement and motivate their colleagues. Through case studies, participants will explore how to speak to loss and manage change at the unit and organizational level.
Participants will take part in the following at the session:
- Recognize the various leadership styles.
- Discuss strategies to develop and motivate others.
- Identify techniques to build an effective team and access appropriate resources.
- Describe strategies for leading through change and turbulent times.
You must be a current supervisor of university support staff or unclassified professionals to attend this session. This session is offered in conjunction with the K-State Supervisory Foundations Pillar I: Establishing Your Supervisory Foundation certificate program, therefore, seating is limited.
