Learn about early career funding opportunities at Oct. 24 information session
An Early Career Funding Opportunities Information Session will take place from 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Engineering Complex, 3099A Durland Hall. Faculty are encouraged to attend this session to learn which about funding opportunities and options.
While many know about the National Science Foundation's CAREER program, it is not the only option. Other prestigious young faculty awards are offered by the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy that are focused solely on research rather than the teacher-scholar role required by NSF.
This session will provide an overview of young-faculty career programs presented by a panel of faculty members who have received young faculty awards from NSF and DOD in the past. The panelists will provide insight on their awards and will address why they applied to the program and what the award has meant for their career. Take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and talk with the awardees.
Please register for the session online.
