Advising Survey available for eligible undergraduate students
Before enrolling for the spring semester, most undergraduate students are required to complete the advising survey. The Advising Survey provides advisors with feedback on their performance and gives them information they can use to improve.
The steps in the advising survey process are:
- Students meet with their advisor concerning enrollment for the spring semester.
- Students take the advising survey any time prior to enrolling using the link in KSIS (see step-by-step instructions). The advising survey hold prevents students from enrolling in spring classes until the survey is completed.
- Instructions in the survey will guide students through completion. If students have a second advisor listed in KSIS, they will be given the option to rate that advisor as well. The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete.
- After the survey is complete, the hold will be automatically removed. Students should allow at least 10 minutes for this process to complete.
Advisors will be able to view statistics on each item in their individual evaluations, as well as all written comments verbatim. As always in such ratings, individual reports are confidential. Reports of results will not contain any information that identifies an individual student or his/her responses, and reports at the department and college levels will not identify individual advisors.
Survey preview links, details about the process, and FAQs can be found at the Advising Survey website.
