New year, new look: University launches K-State Online website
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
As announced in the Dec. 11 SEM update, Kansas State University has been working on a new website for marketing online programs under the brand K-State Online. The new website is now live and can be accessed at online.k-state.edu.
The K-State Online website uses a mobile-first approach and is optimized for search and accessibility. It also allows the university to promote all online programs under one user-friendly umbrella, regardless of campus of origin.
The web address, online.k-state.edu, and name, K-State Online, were formerly used for K-State's learning management system. The opportunity to strategically repurpose the URL became available with the adoption of Canvas.
With the new K-State Online site focused on online program promotion, K-State Global Campus continues to provide faculty resources and conference management information on its administrative website at global.k-state.edu. Additional updates to this site are forthcoming.
The K-State Online site project team will also continue to meet in the coming weeks for post-launch quality assurance. If you have any questions or feedback on the site, please email gwidenor@k-state.edu.
The K-State Online website is the first to launch with the university's new CMS templates. The rollout plan for campuses, academic colleges and other major units is already underway, with communicators and web team members from across the university collaborating on template transition preparation.
