Agricultural economics announces new communications coordinator
The agricultural economics department announces Mary Bowen as its communications coordinator. Bowen will be responsible for all communications, social media and promotional activities for the department.
She has been a program associate and communications and marketing specialist for the Master of Agribusiness program since 2005. In that role, she assisted with the coordination of the MAB program, communicated with applicants, enrolled students, alumni and faculty of the program. Bowen also managed the program's marketing, special events and international agribusiness tours.
"In her new role, Mary will continue providing communications and marketing services for the Master of Agribusiness program, and will now provide the same for all of the units within the agricultural economics department," said Allen Featherstone, agricultural economics department head and director of the Master of Agribusiness program. "We are excited to bring Mary's skills and experience to the communications and marketing strategies for the agricultural economics department, including the Master of Agribusiness program."
Bowen has bachelor's degrees in journalism and mass communications-public relations and sociology from Kansas State University and a Master of Professional Studies in organizational and professional communication-public relations and marketing from the University of Denver.
