Davids-Dunham award call for nominations
The College of Arts and Sciences Diversity Committee invites nominations of faculty members for the Davids-Dunham Award. This is an award to support research, writing, teaching and professional development. The Davids-Dunham Award celebrates faculty members who identify with underrepresented groups for their excellence in scholarship and faculty members who through their scholastic efforts support diversity at Kansas State University.
We encourage anyone to nominate faculty they think are deserving of this award. The nomination form may be found online. Space is provided for optional statements of support as well. Self-nominations are accepted. This award will be given preferentially to junior faculty on the path to tenure, although mid-career faculty are welcome to be nominated.
Review of nominations will begin on March 30 but will continue until the award is given. Nominations after this date are still welcome.
Note: The Davids-Dunham Award is named for Sharice Davids and Ann Dunham. These individuals represent Kansas, have contributed to a discipline included in the College of Arts and Sciences, and have made tremendous contributions to our society. Their work embodies the spirit of the candidates who win this award.
