KAWSE to host student panel on grant and fellowship applications
KAWSE, the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, will host "Applying for Grants and Fellowships Panel Discussion" from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, in Room 206 at the K-State Student Union.
The panel is being offered in collaboration with the Office for Research Development and will feature a variety of perspectives on successfully applying to funding sources.
Topics covered will include practical advice for first-time grant applicants; challenges; tips and tools; and pitfalls to avoid.
This event is open to undergraduate and graduate students, and no RSVP is necessary.
The panelists:
- Shelby Boso, senior in human development and family studies.
- Jerica Garcia, senior in kinesiology, pre-occupational therapy.
- Priscilia Guzman, doctoral student in the Division of Biology.
- Tom Platt, assistant professor in the Division of Biology.
