Former Nashville Songwriters Association marketer to present in Business of Sports & Entertainment speaker series

On Tuesday, Feb. 25, Krista Darting, K-State alumna and formerly of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, will speak about the music industry as a whole, the songwriting profession and songwriter rights as part of the Business of Sports & Entertainment Speaker Series.
The Nashville Songwriters Association International, or NSAI, is the world's largest not-for-profit songwriters trade association. Established in 1967, the membership of more than 5,000 active and professional members spans the United States and foreign countries. The association is dedicated to protecting the rights of and serving aspiring and professional songwriters in all genres of music.
All presentations are open to the public and free to attend, and will begin at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the K-State College of Business Building Lecture Hall.
The Business of Sports & Entertainment Speaker Series is part of the curriculum for the business of sports and entertainment certificate, which is open to all students.
