Retirement celebration for Doug Jardine on Feb. 28
Doug Jardine, professor and Extension specialist in plant pathology, is retiring after several decades of dedicated service to K-State. A retirement celebration will take place from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Blue Hills Room, 2315 Tuttle Creek Blvd., Manhattan. You are welcome to come and go as your schedule allows. Formal remarks will start around 5:30 p.m.
Please come congratulate Jardine and celebrate his upcoming retirement with some snacks and drinks.
Jardine spent his career serving row crops producers in Kansas. He developed and delivered high-quality Extension programs and resources that were used by countless Extension agents and growers across the state. He served as the state program leader for Extension Plant Pathology for three decades. He was named a fellow of the American Phytopathological Society in 2013. We thank him for his contributions to K-State and to Kansas agriculture.
