Blue Key Senior Honorary and K-State Strengths to host annual Strengths in Action event

Submitted by Megan Stoa

The annual Strengths in Action event will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in Town Hall of the Leadership Studies Building. This thought-provoking event is intended to bring the K-State community together to learn from each other's strengths.

The evening will begin with appetizers and a CliftonStrengths trivia activity. Beginning at 7 p.m., six role models from campus will give short presentations on how their top strengths have guided them in their leadership roles, classes, the workplace and life in general.

This year's speakers are Frank Tracz, director of bands; Mary Kay Siefers, senior associate director and assistant professor, Staley School of Leadership Studies; Mindy Weixelman, instructor in the Staley School of Leadership Studies; Enrique Salas, junior in civil engineering; Jansen Penny, senior in finance and industrial engineering; and Chelsea Turner, senior in American ethnic studies. These influential faculty members and students will share how their strengths have impacted them.

Everyone is welcome to this event and admission is free. To RSVP, please fill out the Google Form. If you have any questions, contact Katheryn Gregerson at gregerso@k-state.edu
