Westbound I-70 lane closure announced
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
The westbound Interstate 70 right lane and shoulder at Deep Creek Road — between mile markers 317 and 318 — in Riley County has been closed for a creek stabilization project by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Traffic will travel through the work zone via signage and cones. Drivers should expect little to no delays throughout the project duration.
The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
Project work is scheduled to be completed in mid-February 2013, weather permitting.
