2020 Swogger Scholarship recipients announced
K-State's primary texts certificate program has selected the recipients of the Swogger Scholarship for summer and fall 2020. These $1,000 scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in the primary texts certificate program who either do primary source related research, travel, and/or wish to enroll in a primary texts class.
Trace Henderson received the Swogger Scholarship for the summer 2020 term for additional research on a paper he wrote that explores the synergy between the fiction work Dune and Golden Age Islamic philosophy.
Alissa Rehmert received the Swogger Scholarship for the fall 2020 term to take three primary texts courses, as well as develop a paper for potential publication in Live Ideas.
Austin Rook received the Swogger Scholarship for the fall 2020 term to do additional research on a paper he wrote on the thought of Chinese philosopher Zhuang Zhou and its resonance with Platonic thought.
Congratulations to all three recipients on their scholarship and hard work in the primary texts program at K-State. For questions about the program or the Swogger Scholarship, contact the program's director, Laurie Johnson, at lauriej@k-state.edu.
