Reminder: Join K-State's university records manager for records management training
Have you ever cleaned off your desk or sorted through your inbox and wondered if you're handling university information correctly? Would you like to avoid second-guessing yourself next time you shred, recycle, file or delete work-related records?
Join Ryan Leimkuehler, university records manager, for Records Management 101. The course will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. Aug. 25 via Zoom.
Leimkuehler will cover the basic information needed for university records creators and designees. Most K-State employees, including many student workers, fall into this category, and all are welcome to enroll. The course will walk attendees through why records management is important, how to follow the university retention schedule, and what the legal requirements are when managing both paper and electronic records. It concludes with an in-depth discussion on how to identify records and a Q&A for personalized questions.
To register for this session, you can sign up through HRIS self-service. Please visit the event page for more information.
