Burrack leads workshop for Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan

Submitted by Frederick Burrack

Frederick Burrack, director of assessment, led a workshop for institutional effectiveness, assessment and curriculum leaders from Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan.

The workshop focused on developing effective assessment and achievement measures for their programs. The 48 in attendance reinforced the purpose of assessment processes to guide curricular and instructional improvements, as well as document and improve learning. Presented were multiple assessment tasks and applicable measurement constructs that can be applied in their programs. Interactive discussion helped transfer the strategies into understanding of direct application.

The workshop is a continuation of the two-day workshop presented in 2019 on their campus and is the second of multiple online-workshops offered this year to guide development of an effective student learning assessment process for their institution.
