Philosophy professor presents research at theater and performance research conference
James R. Hamilton, professor of philosophy, presented the results of his research to the 2011 annual conference of the Theater and Performance Research Association.The association's conference was at Kingston University, Kingston Upon Thames, London, Sept. 7–9. Hamilton presented “Theatrical performance and shared intentions” on Sept. 8. The talk concerned key issues about the complexities involved when spectators attribute intentions to groups of performers under circumstances of uncertainty about who is actually responsible for their actions.
