Want a free height-adjustable desk for your home office? Sign up for the Stand Up Kansas study
The kinesiology and food, nutrition, dietetics and health departments are collaborating to bring the Stand Up Kansas study to K-State employees. The project aims to help employees with sedentary occupations sit less and move more during the workday. We are now recruiting employees who meet the following criteria to participate:
- Working at least 30 hours per week.
- Have a sedentary job — most work-related tasks can be completed while sitting.
- Working primarily from home.
All participants will receive a free Varidesk height-adjustable desk and standing mat to use in their at-home workstation. Half will receive the desk immediately and half will receive the desk after about 12 weeks.
