ECE doctoral student recognized for his work at international conference
Mohsen S. Pilehvar, doctoral candidate and graduate research assistant in the Smart Power Electronics and Control Systems research group in the Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was recognized with a top-three ranking for his work at a recent international event.
His paper, "Interconnection of Three Single-Phase Feeders in North America Distribution Systems," received third place in the 2020 Best Paper Awards at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers International Conference on Smart Grids and Energy Systems, Nov. 23-26. The virtual event was hosted from Perth, Australia.
Pilehvar's faculty adviser is Behrooz Mirafzal, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering and Michelle Munson-Serban Simu Keystone research scholar.
