Nominations sought for Community Service Awards
The Community First National Bank and HandsOn Kansas State are currently seeking nominations for the 11th annual Community Service Awards. Each year many selfless individuals and organizations give of their time and talents to address critical needs in the greater Manhattan area.
Members of Kansas State University and the Manhattan community are encouraged to nominate individuals and organizations who have exhibited extraordinary commitment to service based on the following four award categories:
- outstanding student volunteer
- outstanding student organization
- outstanding youth volunteer
- outstanding community group
More details on the awards and the nomination form can be found on the Celebrating People and Action website. Nominations must be submitted electronically to HandsOn Kansas State by 5 p.m. Monday, April 1.
Successful nominees will be notified by Friday, April 6, and recognized at Celebrating Service and Leadership, hosted by the School of Leadership Studies, on Sunday, April 21. As part of their recognition, each winner receives a $250 check to donate to the Manhattan community nonprofit organization of their choice.
