Charles Reagan publishes new book on Landon Lectures
Charles Reagan, professor of philosophy, has recently published "Political Power and Public Influence: The Landon Lectures 1984-2011."
The book reflects on his 26 years as chairman of the Landon Lecture series. During his chairmanship, 92 prominent individuals were brought to K-State to give Landon Lectures. There is an account of how K-State was able to attract each speaker, a summary of their speech, and anecdotes of behind-the-scenes conversations and preparations. The book contains more then 200 photographers of the speakers. Sen. Nancy Kassebaum Baker wrote the book's foreword. Also contained are the reminiscences of Reagan's four predecessors as Landon chairmen. The book is available at Varney's and the K-State Student Union Book Store.
