Weekend programs with AdventureOUT
The LGBT Resource Center with Intercultural Learning and Academic Success offers the opportunity to connect with the LGBTQ community through various programs in the AdventureOUT initiative. Each weekend there are two great ways to creatively connect with our community.
Saturdays with AdventureOUT: Storytelling with Ben Goldman
AdventureOUT, in collaboration with the drama therapy program's Ben Goldman helps you to connect with creative self-expression. How do you tell your story? Through writing? Art? Songs? Stand-Up Comedy? Did you ever consider that games are a form of group storytelling?
Join Ben Goldman this Saturday, Feb. 12, for AdventureOut with Storytelling. A fun, informative exploration of The Art of the Story. P.S.: If there's a project you'd like help with or one that you're having trouble getting started on, bring it along.
Each Saturday at 1 p.m. CST, via Zoom
Meeting ID: 862 210 5872
Passcode: 688174
Sundays with AdventureOUT: Open Call with Bryant Mehay
AdventureOUT, in collaboration with the drama therapy program, is hosting a Virtual Open Call on Zoom. This meeting is an opportunity to discuss topics relevant to you with an informed facilitator. Bryant Mehay, certified therapeutic recreation specialist, and Benjamin Goldman, will be hosting Open Call.
This is not a replacement for mental health services. If you are experiencing mental and emotional strain due to a stressful environment please reach out to Counseling Services at 785-532-9627 or the K-State Family Center at 785-532-6984.
We want to ensure your privacy and safety, that's why the Zoom lobby will be used so that people interested in participating need to be let in rather than being able to just join in the middle of a conversation. You may experience a wait time to get in if there is a lot of interest that day.
Each Sunday at 3 p.m. CST, via Zoom
