Facilities Customer Service is here for you
The phone number, 785-532-6389, and email address, faccustomerservice@k-state.edu, will connect you to Facilities Customer Service, the communication hub for the Division of Facilities. Use the number or email address to report electrical, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, custodial or other building or grounds-related issues you may be experiencing or for services you may need.
What does Facilities Customer Service do? Joy Knutson, Janae Jones and Terri Wyrick triage the service requests received, ask relevant questions to ensure we get accurate information regarding the nature of the request and create a work order that goes directly to the appropriate Facilities supervisor or manager.
In fiscal year 2020, the facilities customer service team created 37,852 work orders and phases. If we created that many work orders and phases, this means our facilities technicians, custodians, landscape crew, etc., are out on campus working to complete them.
Knowing what is happening with your service requests is important to you. We understand that and want to provide you that information. If you have a question about the status of a work order, please call Facilities Customer Service at 2-6389 or email faccustomerservice@k-state.edu. As the communication liaison between departments and Facilities, we will gather the information and get back to you. If for some reason speaking directly to the supervisor, manager or director is necessary, we will facilitate that communication so you can get the answers you need. This process allows the facilities technicians, supervisors, managers and directors to continue working on your service requests without interruption.
