Upcoming Week of Welcome planning meetings
Submitted by Center for Student Involvement
With President Myers recently announcing plans for an in-person fall semester, the university is gearing up for a huge celebration for the Fall 2021 Week of Welcome, or WOW, and is looking to engage students as well as university departments, colleges and units in the planning of events and activities.
A student planning meeting is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 27. All students interested in providing feedback on current WOW plans, brainstorming and creating new events, and taking action to make sure everything is ready to go this fall are encouraged to attend tonight's kickoff meeting for the student planning team to learn more! Join us on Zoom.
A university planning team meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, May 6. All campus departments, colleges and units interested in joining the celebration team, or anticipate hosting an activity during Week of Welcome 2021 are encouraged to RSVP — including regrets. RSVP information will be provided soon. The meeting will be via Zoom and will include an opportunity to brainstorm ideas, share anticipated plans, review planning timelines, discuss volunteer needs and more.
Questions regarding the Week of Welcome can be directed to Kelli Farris.
