Manhattan Municipal Band celebrates 100 seasons with mayoral proclamation
This summer, the Manhattan Municipal Band is celebrating its 100th season. Founded in 1920, community members perform concerts at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in City Park on Tuesday evenings throughout June and July.
The season begins at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 31, with a special mayoral proclamation being presented to commemorate the 100th season of the Manhattan Municipal Band. Accepting this proclamation will be Frank Tracz, the band's director since 1995.
