The Postal Regulatory Commission determined to restore financial stability to the postal service, the postal service should have the ability to raise prices above the rate of inflation. Rather than waiting until the traditional October announcement and January implementation date, the USPS decided to move up the rate change to help expedite their ability to generate new revenues. There is not an anticipated price change for letter mail until next year.
As a reminder, the Contract Postal Unit at 113 Dykstra Hall is open for business from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for your personal shipping needs.
