Kansas LGBTQ Virtual Conference Friday, Oct. 15
The Kansas State University LGBT Resource Center and the Division of Intercultural Learning and Academic Success will host the Kansas LGBTQ Virtual Conference on Friday, Oct. 15.
Our theme, "Centering Queer Voices, Working for Our IDEAL," highlights the need to center LGBTQ+ voices when addressing LGBTQ+ issues.
The conference will focus on the lived experiences and aspirations of our Kansas LGBTQ Community; students, faculty and staff of Kansas K-12 and Higher Education, community activists and community members as well as our LGBTQ allies. Our goal is to activate leadership among LGBTQ young people and to cultivate networks of support in implementing social transformation locally and regionally, nationally and globally.
The daylong event will feature alumnus and keynote speaker Tori Gleason and online session sessions throughout the day.
All sessions and keynote will be available online. Registration for access and the schedule of speakers and presentations can be found at the LGBT Resource Center website.
Sponsored by Commerce Bank and Philips 66.
