Participants over age 65 needed for nutrition research study
A K-State Master of Public Health student is recruiting participants for a three-part study examining the facilitators and barriers to healthy eating among adults over the age of 65. Participants will contribute to the development of a new health tool and have the chance to win a grocery store gift card.
Participants must be age 65 or older, community-dwelling — meaning they cannot reside in a nursing home, assisted living facility, memory care facility, etc. — and speak English.
The three parts of the study include focus groups, pilot-testing a questionnaire and completing the final questionnaire along with a dietary assessment.
Individuals can participate in all three phases of the study, but it is not required to participate in all three. Participants' names will be entered into a drawing for a grocery store gift card for each phase that they complete — up to three entries in the drawing.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Anna Biggins at abiggins15@k-state.edu for more information.
