The first Geoscience Career Ambassador Training, or GeoCAT, Workshop will be June 21-25 at the Morris Family Multicultural Center on the Manhattan campus. It will focus on familiarizing educators and youth volunteers with the diverse and exciting array of careers available in the geosciences through the wide range of industries that depend heavily on Earth resources and their effective management.

In preparation for the workshop, webinars will take place on the second Wednesday of the month, from February through March. The webinar theme is "The Earth needs you! Discovering the role of geoscientists and their career pathways." The webinars will feature geoscientists who work in different fields, illustrating the types of jobs one can have with a degree in geosciences. The GeoCAT workshop is supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant ICER-1911590 GP-IMPACT: GeoCAT Workshop: Geoscience Careers Ambassador Training Workshop, which will provide participant support to attend the workshop.
