Weekly global religious, spiritual and nonreligious observance information

Submitted by Stefan Yates

The President's Committee on Religion, Spirituality and Nonreligious Diversity presents the global observance information for March 28-April 3.

April 2, Ramadan-Islam — A month of fasting and abstinence in general from sunrise to sunset in recognition of the revelation of God’s word to humankind in the Quran. The month begins with the first sighting of the crescent moon and thus varies across time zones. Ramadan is also a time for reflection, increased devotion and mindfulness of God’s commandment for self-restraint.

The President's Committee on Religious, Spiritual and Nonreligious Diversity welcomes those of all global religious, spiritual and nonreligious commitments. Further, we welcome any suggestions, questions or other comments. Please contact the chair, Bev Earles.
