Parker Conant awarded top scorer title for the Great Plains
Tom Fussner, director of the Great Plains Collegiate Inline Hockey League, or GPCIHL, presented K-State senior Parker Conant with a plaque for being the top scorer in the region with 22 goals and 34 assists for a total of 56 points.
Conant was also named to the first All-American team a few weeks ago. He is the K-State inline hockey team captain and leads by example. He is currently leading the team in Fort Myers, Fla., as we take part in the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association invitational tournament.
Single elimination playoffs for the top 20 teams in the nation start Friday. A national champion will be crowned Sunday. Last year K-State made it into the semifinal before being eliminated. The team hopes to do that or better this year.
