Goins publishes interview with premier Pittsburgh jazz guitarist
Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music, conducted an exclusive interview with jazz guitarist Mark Strickland, a prominent and highly regarded artist who deserves wider attention.
The interview was featured in the April 2022 issue of Jazz Guitar Today, the premier online journal for jazz guitar enthusiasts all around the world. In the interview, Goins focuses on the Pittsburgh native who has performed and recorded with numerous artists in the historically famous and legendary venues of jazz guitar lore throughout the Pittsburgh area.
Goins, a contributing writer to the magazine, regularly publishes a wide variety of pieces, including exclusive jazz artist profiles, CD reviews and articles specifically focused on jazz education.
