Robb tapped for top award from consumer interests group
Cliff Robb, associate professor of personal financial planning, received the Mid-Career Award from the American Council on Consumer Interests at the research organization’s annual conference April 10-12 in Portland, Ore.
He also was elected to the position of president-elect for the organization.
The Mid-Career Award recognizes excellence in research, education and/or policy. It also reflects contributions to the professional organization, forging collaborations with other consumer interest groups and supporting policy making.
An article by Robb, Patryk Babiarz and Ann Woodyard, both from the University of Alabama, was one of three finalists for the Journal of Consumer Affairs Best Paper Award 2012. The article was "Family Decision Making and Resources Protection Adequacy."
