Executives from noted railroad company visit College of Business Administration
A company with 150 years of service has many lessons to offer business students, and that's exactly what students in the College of Business Administration at Kansas State University will get with a visit by executives with the noted railroad company Union Pacific.
Representatives from the company, including Rob Knight, chief financial officer, will take part in Union Pacific Days, a two-day event featuring lectures, networking opportunities and workshops to benefit the students. The visit is part of the Corporate Days program in the college.
Knight, who is also executive vice president, will give the lecture "Driving Industry, Leading Performance with Record Results" at 1:15 p.m. Thursday April 18, in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union.
Mock interviews, resume reviews and networking tables will be set up in Calvin Hall for students to meet and interact with representatives from the company.
"This is a great opportunity for our students to visit with a company that could be in their career future," said Olivia Law-DelRosso, director of Professional Advantage, a professional development program in the college, and responsible for the Corporate Days program. "The opportunity to hear from and interact with someone of Mr. Knight's stature, is very unique. These interactions can shape a student's future."
Corporate Days is an opportunity for companies to come to campus and network with students and faculty of the College of Business Administration.
