Research Administrators Council to meet in person July 12
The Research Administrators Council will have its quarterly meeting in person from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 12, in Room 206 of the K-State Student Union.
The meeting will begin with updates from PreAward Services, Sponsored Programs Accounting, and the Office of Vice President for Research. Participants will then have the opportunity to participate in the following roundtable discussions with an option to change tables every 20 minutes. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.
- Pre-award topics will include the changing landscape for disclosure of current, pending and other support related to recent JCORE and NSPM-33 guidance as well as resources available to meet these new federal sponsor policies and requirements.
- Post-award topics will be around payroll related to GRAs/tuition/insurance and charges at end of an award; salary caps and summer salary; and converting prior employees to consulting status.
- The process efficiencies table will encourage participants to share improved processes they've incorporated into their work, either individually or as a unit, and to bring their challenges to see if other participants can offer solutions.
A virtual option will not be offered for this meeting. However, to accommodate those now working remotely on a regular basis, please note that future quarterly meetings will be held in person in January and July and offered virtually via Zoom in April and October.
